# CINEMATIC PROMPT ENGINE — v1.0 (Unified Master Guide)
# Goal: Generate short films with the look & grammar of REAL
# professional cinema, not "AI video."
# Core principle: A real cinematographer never says "make it
# look cool." They specify SHOT, LENS, LIGHT, COLOR, MOVEMENT,
# and TEXTURE as separate, deliberate choices. Do the same.
# ══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════

## 1. MASTER FORMULA — the only structure you need
[SHOT TYPE] of [SUBJECT + ONE CLEAR ACTION], [LENS + DOF],
[LIGHTING], [COLOR GRADE / FILM STOCK], [ENVIRONMENT/ATMOSPHERE],
[CAMERA MOVEMENT + SPEED], [TEXTURE/FINISH], [MOOD IN ONE PHRASE]

Golden example:
"Medium close-up of a detective lighting a cigarette in a
rain-streaked doorway, 50mm with shallow depth of field, single
hard key light from a streetlamp with deep shadow fill, desaturated
teal-and-orange grade emulating Kodak Vision3 500T, steam rising
off wet asphalt, slow deliberate 4-second push-in, subtle 35mm
grain and soft halation on highlights, tense and lonely."

RULES OF THE FORMULA:
- ONE clear action per prompt/clip (5–8 seconds of screen time).
One continuous moment, never a plot summary.
- Describe VISIBLE image, not plot. "He realizes she was lying"
is not filmable — describe the expression, the pause, the look.
- One coherent look per shot. Never stack conflicting styles
("noir but also bright and dreamy").
- Always name the camera movement + speed explicitly, or the
model defaults to a generic slow push-in.

## 2. SHOT TYPE & FRAMING (choose one per shot)
- Extreme wide shot — scale, location, isolation
- Wide shot — full body + environment
- Medium shot — waist-up, conversational
- Medium close-up — chest-up, emotional, grounded
- Close-up — face fills frame, intimacy/tension
- Extreme close-up — eyes, hands, an object, heightened detail
- Over-the-shoulder — dialogue, relational POV
- POV — puts viewer inside the character
- Low angle — power, imposing
- High angle — vulnerability, smallness
- Dutch/canted — unease, disorientation
- Bird's-eye/overhead — geometry, pattern, god's-eye scale

## 3. LENS & CAMERA LANGUAGE
- Focal length:
24mm wide (environmental) | 35mm naturalistic cinematic default
  | 50mm neutral human-eye | 85mm compressed flattering close-ups
  | anamorphic 40mm (oval bokeh, horizontal flares)
- Depth of field:
shallow DOF / creamy bokeh | deep focus (sharp everything,
  Kurosawa/Wes Anderson style) | rack focus mid-shot
- Aspect ratio:
2.39:1 anamorphic widescreen "epic" | 1.85:1 standard theatrical
  | 4:3 boxy intimate/retro | 9:16 vertical for short-form
- Format look:
"shot on ARRI Alexa" | "shot on 35mm film" | "IMAX-scale
  composition" | "vintage 16mm home-movie look"

## 4. LIGHTING DESIGN (the biggest "real film" signal)
- Three-point — clean, controlled, standard drama
- Practical lighting — visible in-frame sources (lamps, neon,
  candles, headlights) motivate the light
- High-contrast / chiaroscuro — deep blacks, hard falloff, noir
- Motivated lighting — "lit only by [X]" (phone screen, fridge
  door, moonlight through blinds)
- Golden hour — warm, long shadows, nostalgic
- Blue hour / day-for-night — cool, moody twilight
- Volumetric / god rays — visible shafts through dust/fog/smoke
- Top light — interrogation-room harshness
- Rim/backlight — silhouette separation, halo effect
- Overcast soft diffused — Scandinavian drama
- Harsh midday hard shadows — western/desert

## 5. COLOR GRADE & FILM STOCK EMULATION
- Teal and orange — modern blockbuster, skin-vs-shadow contrast
- Bleach bypass — gritty, desaturated, war/thriller
- Kodak Vision3 500T — warm, grainy, night-friendly prestige drama
- Kodachrome / Ektachrome — saturated nostalgic 70s
- Monochrome high-contrast — noir, art-house
- Pastel low-contrast — dreamlike, memory, romance
- Bleak cool grade, crushed blacks — dystopian sci-fi
- Technicolor saturation — classic Hollywood, fantasy
Control texture separately: add "visible film grain"
(16mm or 35mm grain) OR "clean digital, no grain" for modern look.

## 6. CAMERA MOVEMENT (+ always state speed)
- Static / locked-off — stillness, tension, observational (Kubrick)
- Slow push-in (dolly in) — building emotional intensity
- Pull-out (dolly out) — reveal scale or isolation
- Tracking / Steadicam — smooth follow, immersive
- Handheld — urgency, realism, documentary energy
- Crane / aerial rise — grandeur, scene-opening
- Whip pan — energy, kinetic transitions
- Orbit / arc around subject — dramatic reveal
- Rack focus during move — redirect attention mid-shot
Speed matters: "slow deliberate push-in over 4 seconds" ≠
"quick handheld push-in."

## 7. TEXTURE & FINISH (details that sell "real film")
- Film grain (specify 16mm / 35mm)
- Anamorphic horizontal streak flare vs soft circular flare
- Subtle vignette
- Motion blur on fast movement
- Chromatic aberration at frame edges
- Slight lens breathing / imperfect focus pull
- Dust & scratches (deliberately aged/archival only)
OMIT ALL of these for clean hyper-real modern digital —
the absence is also a style choice.

## 8. GENRE TEMPLATES (copy, then customize)
NEO-NOIR THRILLER:
"Low-angle medium shot of a woman walking through a parking
garage at night, 35mm, hard sodium-vapor practicals casting long
orange shadows, high-contrast teal-and-orange grade, thin fog,
slow tracking shot from behind, visible 35mm grain, tense and
watchful."
SCI-FI DYSTOPIA:
"Wide establishing shot of a rain-soaked megacity street at night,
anamorphic lens with horizontal blue flares, neon signage as only
light source, cool desaturated grade crushed blacks, volumetric
light through steam vents, slow crane rise revealing scale, subtle
chromatic aberration, oppressive and vast."
INTIMATE DRAMA:
"Close-up of a man's face at a kitchen table, 85mm, shallow DOF,
soft window light key + warm lamp fill, Kodak Vision3 500T
emulation, static locked-off camera, gentle film grain, quiet and
unresolved."
WESTERN:
"Extreme wide shot of a lone rider crossing open plain at golden
hour, 24mm, deep focus, warm backlight long shadows, Kodachrome
saturation, dust drifting across frame, very slow push-in, dry
and mythic."
DOCUMENTARY / VÉRITÉ:
"Medium shot, handheld with natural imperfection, 35mm, available
window light only, neutral grade minimal saturation, slight motion
blur, observational and unstaged."
HORROR:
"Woman investigates basement with flashlight, first-person POV,
darkness swallowing frame edges, flashlight beam the only light
source, subtle camera drift, VHS degradation, dread atmosphere."
PERIOD PIECE:
"Candlelit interior, 50mm, warm tungsten glow, soft vintage
lenses with halation, Technicolor-inspired palette, slow dolly,
hushed and ceremonious."
ROMANCE:
"Two lovers in a kitchen, golden window light across faces,
handheld intimate camera slowly circling, shallow DOF, warm
practicals, raw emotion, indie film aesthetic."

## 9. DIRECT-STARTER PROMPTS (ready to paste)
Rooftop, dusk:
"Two figures on a rooftop at dusk, medium two-shot, 35mm, shallow
DOF, blue-hour ambient mixed with warm window glow from below,
muted teal grade, breeze moving clothing, slow orbit around the
pair, subtle film grain, reflective and quiet."
Market chase:
"Handheld tracking shot following a runner through a crowded
outdoor market, 24mm, harsh natural daylight, warm saturated
grade, motion blur on crowd, fast whip pans, energetic chaos."
Empty diner 3am:
"Wide static shot of an empty diner interior at night, 35mm, deep
focus, buzzing fluorescents with one flickering bulb, desaturated
cool-green grade, visible 16mm grain, absolute stillness, lonely
and liminal."

## 10. SHORT-FILM CONSISTENCY (the continuity system)
- LOCK A STYLE SENTENCE (lens + grade + grain + aspect ratio) and
paste it UNCHANGED into every shot prompt of the film.
- USE REFERENCE IMAGES (image-to-video / character & style refs)
instead of re-describing faces and wardrobe from scratch.
- WRITE A SHOT LIST FIRST (in a doc, not the video tool):
shot type / location / action / one-line intent per line.
Then expand each line into a full prompt. This keeps geography
and pacing sane across 8–12 clips.
- MATCH SCREEN DIRECTION across cuts (180-degree rule) so
characters don't visually flip sides between shots.
- NEGATIVE PROMPTS for every generation:
"no warped hands, no text artifacts, no morphing background,
no illogical extra limbs, no cartoon, no CGI look,
  no oversaturation, no plastic skin"

## 11. ANTI-PATTERNS (avoid)
- Conflicting styles in one prompt — pick ONE coherent look.
- Plot narration instead of visible image.
- Forgetting camera movement (defaults to generic push-in).
- Multiple actions in one shot — one clear action reads cinematic;
a run-on sequence reads like AI.
- Filler words: "high quality, 8K, masterpiece, best" — meaningless
and flattens results. Specificity beats superlatives.

## 12. CHEAT SHEET (one line to memorize)
[Shot] of [subject/action], [lens+DOF], [lighting], [grade/stock],
[environment detail], [movement+speed], [grain/texture], [mood phrase]

## 13. WORKFLOW FOR ANY AI AGENT USING THIS ENGINE
1. Receive story/concept → write a SHOT LIST (8–12 lines).
2. Define LOCKED STYLE SENTENCE for the whole film.
3. For each shot: expand the line into the MASTER FORMULA prompt.
4. Append the standard NEGATIVE PROMPT.
5. Generate → review → adjust ONE variable at a time
   (usually lighting or movement first).
6. Assemble shots in order, respecting screen direction.

TEXTURE: grain | anamorphic streak flare | vignette | motion blur |
chromatic aberration | focus breathing — omit ALL for clean digital
MOOD: end with one phrase — "tense and lonely", "oppressive and vast"

## FACE MODES (pick one per character)
F1. FACELESS TECHNIQUES (face hidden by light/angle/obstruction):
1. SILHOUETTE — backlit, face in total shadow
2. RIM/EDGE LIGHT — face = thin glowing outline only
3. BACK-OF-HEAD / OTS — character watches the world
4. HOOD / HELMET / MASK — features structurally hidden
5. SHADOW MASK — face swallowed by frame darkness
6. FOG / SMOKE / DUST VEIL — features dissolve into air
7. HANDS & OBJECTS ECU — story told through details, never faces
8. REFLECTION WITHOUT FACE — mirror shows room, not person
9. DISTANT FIGURE — small in vast environment
10. LIGHT AS FACE — features replaced by phone glow / lantern
F2. NICKNAME-FACE (face = blank surface + text label):
- Face is a featureless surface: completely blank, absolutely no
eyes, no nose, no mouth, no eyebrows, no facial features of any
kind — smooth blank skin-like surface with the nickname as text.
- Nickname = the character's entire identity and case definition.

## FACELESS TEMPLATES
SILHOUETTE: "Silhouette of a man at a window at dusk, face completely
in shadow, city lights behind him, 85mm, shallow DOF, rim light
tracing outline, deep blacks, locked-off, lonely and watchful."
RIM LIGHT: "Woman in dark room, face as thin glowing edge tracing
her profile, all else black, 50mm, chiaroscuro, static, mysterious
and calm."
HOODED: "Hooded figure walking through rainy night market, face hidden
inside hood, neon on wet ground, low-angle tracking, anamorphic
flares, teal-magenta grade, 35mm grain, determined and anonymous."
HANDS: "ECU weathered hands slowly opening an old letter, single warm
desk lamp, dust in air, 100mm macro, drifting focus, Vision3 500T,
nostalgic and heavy."
DISTANT: "EWS lone figure on cliff edge under storm clouds, face
unseeable at this scale, 24mm, deep focus, dramatic side light,
slow crane rise, mythic and small."
FOG: "Figure walking through thick morning fog in pine forest, face
dissolving into mist, soft diffused light, muted grey-green grade,
slow Steadicam follow, quiet and unreal."

## NICKNAME-FACE: TEXT RENDERING RULES (critical for clean output)
1. KEEP NICKNAMES SHORT: 3–13 characters, ONE word, no special
   characters, no punctuation, no numbers.
2. TEXT STYLE — always specify in prompt:
"the word [NICKNAME] written in clean bold sans-serif capital
letters, perfectly centered on the blank face, high contrast
against skin tone, sharp crisp letterforms, flat frontal angle"
3. ANGLE RULE: text renders cleanly only when the face is
FRONTAL or near-frontal. For profile/turned shots, the text
will warp — prefer silhouette or shadow mode for non-frontal
   angles.
4. LIGHTING FOR TEXT: even, flat frontal light on the face
(no hard side light across the text). Rim light the HEAD
silhouette instead to keep cinematic contrast.
5. WORKFLOW (most reliable): generate the nickname-face as a
STILL image first (Midjourney/SDXL render text best), verify
the text is clean, THEN use image-to-video for motion.
Never ask a video model to invent text from scratch.
6. ONE label per character per film — consistency is identity.
7. Fix text errors by regenerating the STILL, not the video.

## NICKNAME BANK (pick by role/personality, don't copy blindly —
choose or coin one that matches your content's meaning)
ARABIC:
أبو سريع / بو سريع — The Speedster
وسواس — The Worrywart
ابنة الضغط — The Panic Inducer
غشاش — The Hustler
لئيم — The Petty Saboteur
المعلم — The Big Boss
الحكيم — The Voice of Reason
مصمم — The Mastermind Engineer
دقيق — The Perfectionist
كسلان — The Sloth
نشيط — The Energizer
ناعم — The Velvet Touch
حكاكة — The Clingy Flatterer
حارس — The Iron Watchdog
أم فضيحة — The Drama Queen
ENGLISH (when Arabic text fails to render): SPEED, WORRY, PANIC,
HUSTLE, SABOTAGE, BOSS, WISDOM, MIND, EXACT, SLOTH, SPARK,
VELVET, FLATTER, GUARD, DRAMA

## NICKNAME-FACE TEMPLATES
DRAMATIC FRONTAL:
"Medium close-up of a man in a dark suit seated at a long table,
face a completely blank smooth surface with absolutely no eyes,
no nose, no mouth, no eyebrows, no facial features — only the word
[NICKNAME] written in clean bold sans-serif letters perfectly
centered on the face, high contrast, sharp crisp letterforms, even
soft frontal light on the face with rim light on head silhouette,
deep shadows in background, 85mm, shallow DOF, slow push-in,
Vision3 500T grade, authoritative and still."
MYSTERY SILHOUETTE + TEXT:
"Silhouette of a figure standing in a doorway, body rim-lit, face
in shadow except the word [NICKNAME] glowing softly on the blank
featureless face surface, no eyes, no nose, no mouth, fog at floor,
low-angle, anamorphic flares, slow tracking toward camera, tense
and watchful."
GROUP TABLE SHOT:
"Wide shot of five figures seated around a boardroom table, each
face a completely blank featureless surface — no eyes, no nose,
no mouth — each face displaying one word: [N1], [N2], [N3], [N4],
[N5] in clean bold sans-serif, evenly lit faces, moody overhead
practicals, 35mm, slow dolly-in, desaturated grade, power and
menace."

## FACELESS RULES
- Blur = error; shadow/distance = style. NEVER blur the face.
- Body must act: posture, hands, gait, breath steam, clothing move.
- Pair with ONE strong environment (rain/fog/neon/dust) — the
  environment becomes the emotion.
- Faceless + wide = epic | + hands ECU = intimate | + MCU = unsettling
  (use deliberately).

## GENRE DNA (one line each)
Noir: sodium-vapor garage, orange shadows on teal, fog, tracking from
behind, 35mm grain
Sci-fi: rain megacity, anamorphic blue flares, neon only light, steam
volumetrics, crane rise, chromatic aberration
Drama: 85mm CU, window key + lamp fill, Vision3 500T, locked-off, quiet
Western: 24mm EWS, golden hour backlight, deep focus, Kodachrome, dust,
slow push-in
Doc: handheld 35mm, window light only, neutral grade, unstaged
Horror: POV flashlight-only, darkness at edges, VHS drift, dread
Period: candlelight tungsten, vintage lenses halation, Technicolor, slow dolly
Romance: golden window light, orbiting handheld, warm practicals, raw

## SHORT-FILM CONSISTENCY (critical)
1. LOCK one style sentence (lens+grade+grain+ratio) — paste unchanged
   in EVERY shot
2. LOCK each character's nickname + face mode for the whole film
3. Use reference images for bodies/wardrobe/nickname-faces, never
   re-describe from scratch
4. Write SHOT LIST first (8–12 lines: shot/location/action/intent),
   then expand each into formula
5. Match screen direction (180° rule) across cuts
6. NEGATIVES always (see below)

## UNIVERSAL NEGATIVE PROMPT (every generation)
deformed hands, extra fingers, fused fingers, missing fingers,
mutated limbs, extra limbs, disproportionate anatomy, bad anatomy,
asymmetrical body, distorted face, disfigured, low resolution,
pixelated, jpeg artifacts, oversaturated, noise, watermark,
signature, random text, garbled text, misspelled text, duplicate
character, cloned figure, extra character, cropped, out of frame,
low detail background, cartoon, CGI look, morphing background,
plastic skin

## FACELESS EXTRA NEGATIVES
visible face, clear facial features, portrait, face in focus,
recognizable identity

## NICKNAME-FACE EXTRA NEGATIVES
eyes, nose, mouth, eyebrows, eyelashes, facial features, blurry
text, warped text, extra words, misspelled letters, gibberish text

## ANTI-PATTERNS
No conflicting styles | no plot narration | never omit movement |
no multi-action shots | no filler words (8K, masterpiece, best) —
specificity beats superlatives | never ask video models to render
text from scratch — still first, then image-to-video

## AGENT WORKFLOW
story → cast characters with nicknames → shot list → lock style →
pick face mode per character per shot (F1 or F2) → render nickname
faces as STILLS and verify text → expand each shot into formula →
append negatives → image-to-video → fix ONE variable at a time →
assemble respecting screen direction

## CHEAT SHEET
[Shot] of [action], [lens+DOF], [light], [grade], [env detail],
[move+speed], [grain], [mood]
(+ face mode: F1 technique or F2 "blank face + NICKNAME text,
frontal, flat light, bold sans-serif, centered, high contrast")

**What's new in v3.0 (the Nickname-Face module):**
1. **Two face modes** (F1 shadow-based, F2 text-based) — agent picks per shot
2. **Text rendering rules** — the 7-point protocol for clean labels (short word, frontal angle, flat light, sans-serif spec, still-first workflow)
3. **Nickname bank** — your 15 Arabic nicknames mapped to English fallbacks (if Arabic glyphs fail to render, switch to the English one-word version)
4. **3 ready templates** — frontal dramatic, silhouette-glow, and multi-character group shots
5. **New negative block** — explicitly bans eyes/nose/mouth/eyebrows and text errors
6. **Workflow updated** — still-first text verification step added
